A'Ja G. Brown was a loving daughter and friend. She was an outstanding young woman who strived for and achieved higher education. Together with her parents, Gus and Jennifer Brown, her friends created a scholarship fund in memory of her. Our mission is to inspire young females to be the leaders of tomorrow by continuing the legacy of A'Ja.
Christina is a 2014 graduate of Vandebilt Catholic High School in Terrebonne Parish. She is a 2018 graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. At LSU, Christina studied and graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology and minored in sociology. Furthermore, Christina has graduated from Southern University Law Center in 2021 earning her Juris Doctorate degree. She is currently practicing as an attorney, working in various areas of the law to help the state of Louisiana.
Kaylyn is a 2014 graduate of Vandebilt Catholic High School. She has also been a certified volunteer coach for the United Southern Track Club. She is also a 2018 graduate of Louisiana State University where she earned her Bachelor's of Science, Kinesiology. Kaylyn is currently a student at Southern University Law Center where she currently serves on the executive board for the Pro Bono Project and is a member of the Sports and Entertainment Law Association. As such, Kaylyn will graduate in May of 2022 with her Juris Doctorate degree and seeks to pursue a career in Sports and Entertainment Law.
Briana is a 2014 graduate of Vandebilt Catholic High School. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree from Louisiana State University Health New Orleans in 2018. She currently works as a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. Briana is also a pursuing a Doctorate in Nursing Practice degree at the University of South Alabama. She is specializing in Family Nurse Practitioner and Adult-Gerontological Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with a subspecialty in Cardiology.
